About Chris Gotch
Chris is a senior associate in our London tax practice and advises corporates, financial institutions and investment funds across a variety of business sectors.
He has particular expertise in public and private M&A, debt restructuring and corporate reorganisations, but his practice also includes advising on the tax aspects of IPOs, joint ventures, demergers and structured finance transactions. During his time with the firm, he has also spent time on secondment to the tax team of HSBC Bank.
In addition, Chris advises on tax disputes and litigation.

Advising CVC Capital Partners VIII on the acquisition of ekaterra B.V., the holding company of Unilever’s global tea business for €4.5 billion;
Advising Li & Fung and Temasek on the US$3.6bn sale of LF Logistics to Maersk;
Advising CK Hutchison on the landmark $6 billion merger of its Indonesian telecommunications business, Hutchison 3 Indonesia with Indosat Tbk, a subsidiary of Ooredoo Group;
Advising ESR Cayman on the US$5.2bn acquisition of ARA Asset Management;
Advising a UK corporation on employment tax disputes affecting a substantial section of its workforce;
Advising ED&F Man, the global agricultural commodities group, on its $US 1.5bn cross-border refinancing, implemented by a UK restructuring plan;
Advising Honeywell on the combination of Honeywell Quantum Solutions and Cambridge Quantum Computing;
Advising the administrators of Simple Energy (the parent of Bulb Energy) regarding its response to the energy crisis;
