About Sergei Diyachenko

Sergei advises major Russian and international corporates and financial institutions on various transactions in the upstream, midstream and downstream sectors of the petroleum and mining industries in Russia, western Europe, the Middle East and elsewhere.

As head of the firm's energy and natural resources practice in Russia and the CIS, Sergei co-ordinates lawyers in varied fields of expertise in the sector, including M&A, joint ventures, project finance, securities, dispute resolution, environmental, regulatory and commercial work.

He is known for 'his notoriously sharp, hands-on stewardship of deals' and has detailed knowledge of the intricacies of the national regulatory frameworks that apply to the oil and gas and mining sector, such as the implications of Russian foreign strategic investment law.
