About Claire Leadbeatter

Claire is a corporate finance associate in our global transactions group. She advises both borrowers and lenders on a range of complex cross-border banking and finance transactions.

Claire has experience advising on corporate treasury and leveraged loans, acquisition financing, real estate finance and other debt products.

Claire recently concluded a secondment to the finance team in the Freshfields New York office.

Recent work

• Alpha Dhabi on its acquisition of a 25% stake in Gordon Technologies for approximately $164 million.
• Oracle on a $6 billion five-year revolving working capital facility and a $15.7 billion 364-day term loan facility to finance its acquisition of Cerner.
• Advising AstraZeneca plc on its bridge and takeout financing to support its $39 billion acquisition of Alexion Pharmaceuticals - the largest acquisition of a US company and the largest acquisition financing in 2020.  
• Advising London Stock Exchange Group plc on its $13.5 billion bridge facilities to support its acquisition of Refinitiv and subsequent takeout term and revolving facilities, together with its working capital syndicated multicurrency revolving credit facilities and on the establishment of its $10 billion GMTN programme.
• Advising Cerberus and Arrow Capital Partners on two senior/mezzanine financings in an amount of c.€383m for the acquisition, refinancing and/or development of over 60 logistics properties in the Netherlands, Germany, Spain and Ireland, split across two property portfolios. 
• Advising Dixons CarphoneWarehouse on its refinancing of its syndicated multicurrency revolving credit facilities incorporating a switch to risk-free rates.
• Advising Google LLC on its $4.5 billion minority investment in Indian technology company Jio Platforms Ltd.
