Aditya is a Law Clerk in our New York office focusing on Restructuring & Insolvency matters. Prior to joining Freshfields he worked as a Senior Associate in the Dispute Resolution practice at a leading law firm in India where he advised clients on insolvency litigation, commercial litigation, white collar litigation, and arbitration matters.
Recent work
- Advised and represented the committee of creditors in first of its kind insolvency resolution of a leading financial service provider, real estate developer, and an airline company in India.*
- Represented the committee of creditors in a matter before the Supreme Court of India, which upheld the constitutional validity of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016 in its entirety.*
- Advised and represented the Government of India appointed board of directors for resolution of financial distress of a leading infrastructure development and finance company and its 300 group entities.*
- Represented the resolution professional of a steel manufacturing company chosen by the Reserve Bank of India for ensuring cumulative debt recovery of USD 33 billion under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016.*
- Represented India’s largest public sector bank in defending the constitutional validity of the Reserve Bank of India’s master directions on fraud classification and reporting by commercial banks and financial institutions.*
