Serge is an associate in our Global Transactions team based in Abu Dhabi.
Serge advises private equity and corporate clients on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, co-investments, reorganisations and general corporate law matters across a range of sectors.
Prior to joining Freshfields, Serge worked at a leading firm in Sydney, Australia.
Serge is fluent in English and speaks conversational Arabic and French.
Recent work
- Advising Lunate on the establishment of Alpheya, a $300m wealth management technology platform in partnership with BNY Mellon.
- Advising a Middle-Eastern family office on its pre-IPO investment in a regional real estate management firm.
- Advising Alpha Dhabi's hospitality vertical, ADMO Lifestyle Holding, on its acquisitions of: (i) luxury lifestyle brand CE LA VI from funds managed by L Catterton; and (ii) a stake in Lebanese fine dining brand, Em Sherif.
- Advising a leading A-REIT on its acquisition of a majority ownership interest in a $1.8bn landmark commercial property in Sydney and relevant joint venture arrangements.*
- Advising a multi-brand Australian retailer in connection with the $110m strategic divestment of a specialist Australian furniture retailer.*
- Advising an international investment fund on all aspects of its $100m cornerstone investment into an unlisted wholesale property fund.*
