About

Holger is a Counsel in our Disputes, Litigation and Arbitration practice group and a member of our Continental Europe Investigations and Strategic Risk & Corporate Governance groups. Seamlessly combining extensive investigations and crisis-management experience with a strong track record in litigation and arbitration, he guides clients through the full lifecycle of corporate crises – from pre-crisis risk mitigation, through internal investigations and crisis management to post-crisis remediation and follow-on disputes.

Holger specialises in navigating complex compliance incidents for clients across all sectors. He is highly experienced in conducting internal, cross-border investigations, managing complex crises and designing robust governance and compliance frameworks. He also regularly advises clients on related regulatory, corporate governance and strategic risk issues.

A further focus of Holger’s practice is high-stakes dispute resolution. He helps clients anticipate, manage and mitigate litigation risk, particularly in connection with corporate transactions, complex commercial projects and compliance incidents. When disputes cannot be resolved out of court, he represents clients in large-scale commercial litigation and arbitration, with a focus on post-M&A disputes and contentious matters following internal investigations.

Clients particularly value Holger’s rigorous analytical and solution-oriented approach, his deep understanding of their businesses and strategic priorities, and his clear, efficient and practical advice.

Holger’s perspective is informed by his earlier experience in our People & Reward practice group which gives him particular insight into the employment and commercial dimensions of M&A transactions, post-merger integration and the sensitive disciplinary processes that frequently follow investigations.
