Freshfields wins twice at the FT Innovative Lawyer Awards Europe
Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP (‘Freshfields’) has been awarded the ‘innovation in managing and developing talent’ award and the ‘innovation in technology’ award at the FT Innovative Lawyer Awards Europe 2018.For the ‘innovation in managing and developing talent’ award, Freshfields was recognised for the development of its Associate Intrapreneurship Programme, which was praised for its design, development and launch of several internal and external applications; and the voluntary movement of three associates from fee earning work to permanent positions within the Freshfields innovation team, with two joining in leadership roles.
Freshfields also won the ‘innovation in technology’ award for the design and implementation of a tailor made document automation solution for one of the largest and most complex matters the firm has ever delivered. The solution is used by several hundred lawyers. The ultimate vision is a combination of AI and document automation.
Freshfields was also ranked the 3rd most innovative law firm and colleagues in our Vienna office were highly commended for creating a due diligence tracker that interfaces legal tech tools to create structured data to be provided to the client.
Our Chief Legal Innovation Officer, Isabel Parker, was also shortlisted as one of the Top 10 Innovative Lawyers in 2018.
The FT awards dinner was held at the Natural History Museum in London on 4 October 2018.
