Freshfields’ Asia managing partner named ‘Innovative Leader’ by Financial Times

Georgia Dawson, Asia managing partner at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer (‘Freshfields’), has been named an 'Innovative Leader' in the Financial Times’ highly respected Asia-Pacific Innovative Lawyers Awards 2020.

Georgia won recognition for her commitment to diversity, technological innovation, solid business leadership and ground-breaking client work.

“Both within Asia and further afield, Georgia is a wonderful ambassador for the firm,” said Edward Braham, Freshfields’ senior partner. “Leading a law firm in Asia demands a unique set of traits and to succeed, leaders must bring a balance of commercial and local-market knowledge as well as a cultural sensitivity, vision and humility to the role – particularly given the unprecedented challenges many parts of the region continue to face. Being named an ‘innovative leader’ is thoroughly well-deserved and I congratulate Georgia on receiving this prestigious accolade.”

The FT Asia-Pacific Innovative Lawyers awards celebrate the most innovative legal work from lawyers working in law firms and in-house at companies across the region. To read this year’s FT Asia-Pacific Innovative Lawyers report, click here.
