Freshfields partners with global fertility benefits provider Carrot Fertility to offer inclusive family-forming benefits and financial support

Global law firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer (‘Freshfields’) has partnered with Carrot Fertility, the leading global fertility healthcare and family-forming benefits provider, to offer inclusive family-forming benefits, and financial support to employees with a lifetime allowance equivalent to $60,000 of care.

With Carrot, Freshfields’ employees will have access to Carrot’s clinically managed programme that includes fertility preservation, such as egg and sperm freezing, IVF, donor, and gestational carrier services (commonly referred to as surrogacy), adoption, and pregnancy support. Additionally, employees will have access to unlimited chats with specialists, access to Carrot’s database of top providers, special discounts, and expert produced resources.

“We’re thrilled to announce our partnership with Carrot to offer fertility and family-forming benefits that cover all paths to parenthood, and which is inclusive of everyone regardless of their age, race, gender, sexual orientation, and marital status,” said London Managing Partner Claire Wills.

“Where traditional health benefits aren’t typically set up to address the diverse needs of different groups, Freshfields’ partnership with Carrot supports employees on all family-forming paths. Creating a culture of inclusivity where our people feel supported with wellbeing issues is a strategic priority for the firm.”

Wendela von Munching, Global Chief People Officer, said: “Starting a family can be challenging and sometimes a stressful experience for many people. Often the perception is that parenting should be exciting and rewarding, but it can be daunting at the same time. It’s crucial that we, as a global firm committed to inclusive practices that prioritise the wellbeing of our people, provide access to fertility support for those who need it, no matter what stage they’re at in their family-forming journey.”

The Carrot platform has been launched for US, UK, and MENA colleagues.
