Freshfields appoints Chris Smith as Chief Information Officer
Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer (‘Freshfields’) today announces the appointment of Chris Smith as Chief Information Officer.
Based in New York, Chris will lead the firm’s Information Technology division globally, responsible for ensuring the firm continues to deliver on its clear strategy for technology and innovation. He was previously Chief Data Officer at Freshfields.
Chris has worked in legal technology for over 20 years in various technology, innovation and knowledge management roles. Prior to the legal sector he worked for more than a decade as a technology entrepreneur, working with telecom, banking and brokerage clients.
