Recent work
- Representing Grupo Agroinsumos Iberoamericanos in an ICSID arbitration against Venezuela under the Venezuela-Spain BIT, in relation to the expropriation of its investment in Venezuela’s most important agribusiness group of companies.
- Representing Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria (BBVA) in an ICSID Additional Facility arbitration against Bolivia under the Bolivia-Spain BIT relating to Bolivia’s decade-long inability to complete the nationalization of the private pension fund administration sector.
- Representing a group of mining companies in an ICSID arbitration against a South American country relating to the State's refusal to liquidate the companies' holdings in certain mines and return them to the State, as permitted under that State's laws.
- Representing a South American energy company in an ICC arbitration related to the transport and storage of fuel.
- Representing international financial institutions and structured investment vehicles in clawback litigations brought by the Bernie Madoff bankruptcy trustee.
- Representing asylum seekers in U.S. Immigration Court.
