About Lena Hanke
Lena advises multinational companies on key regulatory risks and compliance, with a particular focus on digital industries and online platform regulation.
She is part of our environment, planning, and regulatory team in Berlin with an in-depth understanding of European and international law. Since joining Freshfields, she has gained extensive experience working on cross-border transactions, complex litigation proceedings and strategic compliance matters. Her focus is on the regulation of online platforms and related civil and administrative questions.
She regularly employs cutting-edge technologies to streamline processes and reduce turnaround times. Lena is fluent in both German and English.

- Legal education at University of Cologne, Germany, and Uppsala Universitet, Sweden (First State Examination in Law)
- Legal traineeship (Referendariat) at Cologne Higher Regional Court, Germany (Second State Examination in Law), with stages inter alia in Teheran, Düsseldorf and Brussels
