About Michael David Harris

Michael David Harris is an associate at Freshfields. He received his Juris Doctor from University of California, Berkeley and a bachelor’s degree from Emory University. While in law school, Michael was an articles editor for the California Law Review and Berkeley Journal of International Law. Based in the New York office of Freshfields, Michael has worked on several global transactions in the firm’s finance and corporate practice groups.

  • Sitel Group on the financing of its $2.2bn take-private of Sykes Enterprises.
  • The first TLB syndicated in the New York market that will calculate interest based on the Secured Overnight Financing Rate (SOFR) in support of Cargill’s $4.53bn take-private of Sanderson and simultaneous formation of JV with Continental Grain and private acquisition of Wayne Farms.
  • TriNet on the financing of its acquisition of Zenefits and its $500m private offering of senior notes and new revolving credit facility.
