About Holger Roos

Holger is a counsel in our disputes, litigation and arbitration practice group and a member of our global investigations group.

Holger's practice focuses on white-collar criminal and regulatory investigations as well as complex litigation and arbitration proceedings, with a particular focus on post-M&A, shareholder, and joint venture disputes.

Holger has extensive experience in providing comprehensive risk and crisis management advice to national and international clients, particularly in relation to investigations and compliance incidents. He has been involved in some of the most prominent investigations in Germany in recent years. Holger also regularly advises clients on legal disputes in all areas of commercial and business law and represents clients in national and international litigation and arbitration proceedings.

Holger previously worked in our People & Reward practice group where he was regurlarly involved in M&A transactions and advised clients on all employment aspects and post-merger integration. 

He speaks English and German.

Recent work

  • Acting for a major multinational company in an ICC arbitration concerning a dispute with a joint venture partner, in particular concerning the rights and obligations of both parties under a shareholders' agreement. 
  • Advising one of the world's largest automotive groups in relation to the diesel emissions issue, in particular conducting numerous internal investigations and defending customer claims in various jurisdictions.
  • Advising a specialty chemicals company on a major construction project, providing legal and strategic advice in relation to disputes with the EPCM contractor and numerous other contractors.
  • Conducting an internal investigation for a financial institution in relation to several whistleblower reports of possible irregularities and alleged compliance breaches in connection with the granting of loans.
  • Advising a global private equity firm in a post-M&A dispute concerning potential breaches of disclosure obligations.
  • Advising the German Football Association in an internal investigation regarding the tender for, and financing of, the 2006 FIFA World Cup in Germany.
