About Patrick Teague
Patrick is a counsel in our dispute resolution team, advising on complex competition, commercial and public law disputes and internal and regulatory corporate investigations.
Patrick has extensive experience in competition-related regulatory investigations and follow-on litigation. He has acted for clients in the financial services, telecommunications, and industrial sectors in relation to both UK and multi-jurisdictional cartel investigations and associated immunity / leniency applications; and follow-on litigation before the English High Court and UK Competition Appeal Tribunal.
Patrick also has an active pro bono practice, having acted for several NGOs on a series of public interest interventions relating to asylum, immigration, homelessness and rights of the child cases.
Having qualified at Freshfields in 2013, Patrick left in 2018 to work as Assistant Legal Director at the UK Competition and Markets Authority, where he gained a broad range of experience across the CMA's Policy & International, Cartels, Markets and Antitrust Directorates, including in particular in relation to the CMA's broadening Digital and 'Big Tech' portfolio. Patrick returned to Freshfields in May 2022.
Patrick is fluent in English, French and Spanish.
