New global issues are emerging in the modern world. These include: climate change and environmental protection, global data storage and the cloud, access to ever scarcer water resources, energy and mining transition and human rights initiatives. This panel, moderated by Nigel Blackaby KC, Global Co-Head of International Arbitration and Co-Head of the Latin America Practice at Freshfields, will explore how these new issues may impact the subject matter of tomorrow’s international arbitrations. Other speakers include Ginta Ahrel, Değer Boden, Rodman Bundy, Peter Cameron. This panel is part of the upcoming Congress of the International Council for Commercial Arbitration (ICCA) which will take place in person in Edinburgh from September 18-21, 2022.
