Freshfields advises GIC on partnership with Caleus Capital Investors
Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP (‘Freshfields’) has advised GIC, Singapore’s sovereign wealth fund, on the partnership with Berlin-based investment manager Caleus Capital Investors (‘Caleus’). GIC and Caleus have established a new Berlin based investment vehicle for making Berlin focused property investments and adding value through active asset management or repositioning.The overall Freshfields deal team was led by Timo Elsner. Martin Schiessel advised on tax matters, while Rafique Bachour and Frank Röhling advised on the competition elements of the deal. Principal associate Laura Druckenbrodt provided support with certain corporate aspects.
