Freshfields advises GIC on its agreement to become a significant minority investor in Nordic Aviation Capital
Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP (‘Freshfields’) is advising GIC, Singapore’s sovereign wealth fund, as it becomes a significant minority investor in Nordic Aviation Capital (‘NAC’).NAC is the industry’s leading regional aircraft lessor serving over 73 airline customers in 49 countries.
The transaction will comprise a partial sale by the existing shareholders and new capital to further strengthen NAC’s balance sheet.
GIC is a leading global investment firm managing Singapore’s foreign reserves. It has investments in over 40 countries and has invested in emerging markets for more than two decades.
The Freshfields team is being led by partner James Scott and includes partners Helen Lethaby who is advising on tax matters and Rafique Bachour on anti-trust matters.
