Freshfields and Columbia University’s Richman Center Host Leading Forum on Resource Sustainability in Global Business

Senior executives, thought leaders and academics will gather on April 10 in NYC to discuss emerging challenges and opportunities in the pursuit of global sustainability

Global law firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer (“Freshfields”) and Columbia University’s Richard Paul Richman Center for Business, Law, and Public Policy (“Columbia”), a collaboration between Columbia Business School and Columbia Law School, are pleased to host the fourth annual Global Business Forum on April 10 in New York City, New York. This year’s forum, “Resource Sustainability: Challenges and Opportunities for Global Business,” will concentrate on the developing challenge of resource scarcity and how global businesses are addressing the issue, and identifying ways to change the narrative for years to come.

The event will feature a keynote from former Unilever CEO Paul Polman, a leading voice for corporate responsibility, who will discuss effective ways to protect the world’s natural capital through new models of sustainable and equitable growth. Panels will discuss the implications of resource scarcity for investors, regulatory environments and businesses, as well as how companies can turn the challenges of scarcity into opportunities for investment, technological innovation and growth that will positively impact the world.
