Freshfields wins Restructuring Team of the Year at the Legal Business Awards 2019

Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP ('Freshfields') has been honoured at the Legal Business Awards 2019. The firm won the prestigious Restructuring Team of the Year award for its work advising on four market leading restructurings: BrightHouse on its high yield bond restructuring, Carillion on its liquidation following allegations of accounting irregularities and cash flow issues, certain lenders to Dubai Drydocks on the parallel Dubai Decree 57 CVA and English scheme, and House of Fraser on its CVAs, schemes and subsequent administration sale.

Richard Tett, global transactions finance partner and London head of restructuring and insolvency said: “We are delighted that the team has been recognised for our work on BrightHouse, Carillion, Dubai Drydocks and House of Fraser. With so many leading transactions, it has been a tremendous year. We are really pleased to have helped our clients through these challenges. We have worked with colleagues across a wide range of areas and geographies. I am hugely grateful to the brilliant team who came together to deal with these situations to achieve the best outcome possible for our clients.”

The award was presented at a ceremony on 28 March 2019 at the Grosvenor House Hotel, London.
