Freshfields advises CPPIB on the sale of its 39 per cent stake in Interparking

Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP (‘Freshfields’) has advised Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (‘CPPIB’) on the sale of its 39 per cent stake in Interparking, a leading pan-European car park owner and operator. Interparking has a portfolio of 949 high quality car park sites in nearly 420 cities across 9 countries. AG Real Estate and Parkimo will maintain their interests in Interparking of 51 per cent and 10 per cent, respectively. Closing of the transaction is expected to take place over the coming months.
 
The multi-jurisdictional Freshfields team was led by partners Richard Thexton and Frédéric Elens, supported by principal associate Charles-Philippe Rase and associate Jay Swain. Principal associate Paul van den Berg led on antitrust matters and partner Jill Gatehouse provided tax advice.
