Freshfields represents Verizon on $5 billion sale of Verizon Media to Apollo FundsFreshfields is advising Verizon (NYSE: VZ) on the global antitrust and foreign investment aspects of the sale of Verizon Media to funds managed by Apollo Global Management, Inc. (NYSE: APO) for $5 billion. Verizon will retain a 10% stake in the company, which will be known as Yahoo at close of the transaction. The transaction is expected to close in the second half of 2021.
