Freshfields advises Sandvik on US acquisition of GWS Tool Group

Freshfields is advising Swedish engineering multinational Sandvik AB on its acquisition of GWS Tool Group, a vertically integrated manufacturer of highly engineered custom, standard, and modified standard cutting tools. GWS Tool is headquartered in Tavares, Florida, and has manufacturing operations in Arizona, California, Illinois, Michigan and Massachusetts, as well as in Alberta and Ontario, Canada. The transaction was announced on November 22, 2021, and is expected to close by the end of the year. Terms were not disclosed.
