Freshfields advises on listing of Natural Food International on HKSE
Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer (‘Freshfields’) has advised the sponsors and underwriters of the listing of Natural Food International Holding Limited (‘Natural Food International’) on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (‘HKSE’). Shares started trading today (12 December 2018).Natural Food International is the second-largest natural health food company in China in terms of retail sales value in 2017 (the last full year for which figures are available). Its “Wugu Mofang”(五谷磨房) brand is the best known natural health food brand in China, according to industry research. Natural Food International’s portfolio extends to approximately 90 types of products, created using the latest nutrition science and food processing technologies.
The company intends to use the proceeds of the IPO to enhance its integrated distribution platform and optimise its channel mix; to build and equip a new manufacturing facility in Guangzhou; and for general corporate purposes.
The Freshfields team advising on the deal was led by partner and head of China ECM Richard Wang and partner Yan Chen.
