Freshfields advises Renault Group on an investment of €200 million into Alpine Racing Limited

Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer (‘Freshfields’) is advising Renault Group on an investment by Otro Capital and its partner RedBird Capital Partners, along with Maximum Effort Investments (the ‘Investor Group’), into Alpine Racing Limited (‘Alpine’).

The Investor Group will invest €200 million in Alpine representing a 24% equity stake, to support Alpine’s growth strategy and sporting ambitions in Formula 1.

The Freshfields team is led by partner Stephen Hewes and counsel Piusha Bose, alongside senior associate Nikolay Seliakov, associates Tebogo Sibanyoni, Charlotte Lewczynski and Maya Haria.

Tax advice was provided by partner Helen Buchanan, senior associates Emily Szasz and Chris Gotch and associate Dawn Scott. Advice on merger control and foreign investment matters was provided by partner Laurent Garzaniti and associate Victoria Delettre.
