Freshfields advises Bain Capital and Cinven on the acquisition of Lonza Specialty Ingredients

Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer (‘Freshfields’) has advised Bain Capital Private Equity (‘Bain Capital’) and Cinven on the financing for their successful bid for Lonza Specialty Ingredients (‘LSI’), a division of Lonza AG, for a total enterprise value of CHF 4.2bn. 

Headquartered in Basel, Switzerland, LSI is a world-leading provider of specialty chemicals for microbial control solutions as well as chemicals and composites for the electronics, aerospace, food and agrochemical industries. 

Both Bain Capital and Cinven bring an extensive and successful track record of growing industrial companies in Europe and North America.
