Freshfields advising Verisk on the acquisition of ACTINEO

Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer is advising Verisk (Nasdaq:VRSK) on its acquisition of ACTINEO, a leading Germany-based international InsurTech business, from The Riverside Company and founder, Olav Skowronnek.

ACTINEO is active in Germany, Austria, France, Spain and Italy and offers a portfolio of services, technology and data solutions to support the bodily injury settlement process. Verisk, which is based in Jersey City, New Jersey, is a leading global data analytics provider serving customers in insurance, energy, financial services, and specialised markets. The transaction includes ACTINEO’s majority stake in ANTEVIS, a joint venture which offers digital services for the medical codification and assessment of medical malpractice injury claims in Europe.

The completion of the transaction is subject to customary closing conditions.
